Electronic dance-rock duo Otzeki's spooky recent offering 'Sweet Sunshine' was the lockdown mover that we didn't know we needed. Back today with 'Fading Up', the pair maintain the high standards that we've come to expect from them. Sprawled over a substantial 6 minutes 30, the immersive piece conjures distant memories of nights piled in a hot room thick with smoke and moody lighting, dancing the time away amongst as sea of glistening bodies. Layering tactile samples and minimalistic techno beats, vocalist Mike's airy vocals eventually dissolve into the ambience of the soundscape. With their last record Binary Childhood arriving back in 2018, we're hoping there's another full length on the horizon from Otzeki. -Holly Mullineaux
